Interesting Facts

- Many of our current and former MLW players coach or play baseball in Andover. Parker Janske, Aaron Keeney, and Kyle Hoppe led their Andover Legion 1A team to the State Championship as a coaching trio.

- Unfortunatley, due to scheduling commitments and various other reasons, the 2017 Andover MLW could not be played, causing the one-year absence. 

- The 2016 Playoffs were not played, thus the Minneosta Twins, with the best regular season record, were crowned champions.

- The 2016 Nationals only lasted 4 games before they were forced to depart due to bad play. All the players on that team found new teams to go to.

- Parker Janske ran aprox. 275 yards while jumping a 7 ft. fence during the middle of a game to avoid being shot in the 2015 Andover HS Summer Nerf War.

- The least ammount of pitches thrown in a complete game is 39 by Sam Plohasz.

- The captain of the world series champions does not keep the trophy. Rather, the playoff MVP, if they're from the winning team, gets to keep the trophy. 

- The 2015 All Star game featured a No-Hitter by the American League! The pitchers for the A.L. were Sam Plohasz, Charles Roskowiak*, Seth Plohasz, and Parker Janske. 

- The first pitch in MLW history was a homerun by Alex Keeney off Seth Plohasz. Alex's Giants went on to beat Seth and the Mariners 12-2 in the league's inaugural game. 

- 2015 was the inagural season.
