McPhillips Great Spring

The 2016 Spring Training has seen the A.L MVP, Cy Young, Silver Slugger, the N.L. MVP, Silver Slugger, it has also seen the Rookie of the Year as well as the Home Run Derby champ, and Playoff MVP. What we are trying to translate to you is there has been a lot of talent this Spring. Out of all the awards listed previously Sam McPhillips won a big fat zero of them, yet McPhillips has been the best player by far this Spring. He has been a rock on the mound, nothing extraordinary or flashy but throwing the ball well and getting swings and misses. What has been most impressive is his at bats. In 2015 McPhillips hit 12 home runs and only drove in 16 runs. Although Spring Training stats are not recorded it is estimated McPhillips has hit 12-16 home runs and driven in 20 runs. His 8 Spring Training games have similar stats to his 2015 16 regular season games. As remarkable of a Spring McPhillips we are still waiting to see what he will do when the games count.
